Noah's Floating Zoo |
|
D.J. the Dalmatian is really excited. Hes going fishing with his dad. His big day
is spoiled when a thunder-storm approaches. The change in the weather becomes a perfect
opportunity for Dad to tell his son the story of Noah and his enormous floating zoo.
Its a wonderful re-telling filled with lots of songs, special effects and a candy
colored rainbow at the end. Highlights include the Four Raindrops a delightful song
performed under blacklight and featuring four singing raindrop puppets. Barry and Bertha the Beavers help Noah build the giant ark as all of Noahs animal friends come to help. The giant ark fills the stage and becomes a backdrop for a clever series of knock-knock jokes as animals pop their heads through the numerous portholes on the vessel. Other memorable moments include the huge pair of elephants who play their horns in the title song, "Noahs Got a Floating Zoo." The entire audience gets to participate in the parade of the animals. Dad grabs a baton
and marches through the audience, leading children in the parade. Each child in the
audience carries an animal drawing or coloring page created before the show begins. The story is based on the Old Testament tale of Gods care for Noah and his family. The father - son element allows the story to be told in a way thats compelling for children, yet entertaining for adults. The new musical score is full of hand-clapping, toe stomping melodies that youll remember long after the performance is over. Hear "The Animal Parade" - Tim Tharrington, playing Dad, sings of all the animals that march aboard the ark. Hear "Noah's Got A Floating Zoo" as Frank Mailander and friends make fun of Noah's big project. Noahs Floating Zoo is approximately 40 minutes long. It can be performed indoors
on our full sized stage. The stage is eight feet high, sixteen feet long, ten feet deep.
An additional eight feet is required in front of the stage for the full sized costumed
character to interact with the puppets. The program features fog, strobe, black light, and bubble effects. For optimum results it should be performed in a room that can be completely darkened.
